STAR WARS: ROGUE SQUADRON
Homepage

Another great Star Wars title

By JAMES ANTHONY

One thing about LucasArts you cannot deny, they do things right.

Star Wars: Rogue Squadron 3D is a well-thought out, well-packaged, well-presented game that will have you hooked from the moment you load it on to your hard disk.

It makes full use of the 3D graphics technology that spawned it and no stone is left unturned in the efforts to create a real feel for being part of the action.

Star Wars: Rogue Squadron 3D places you at the controls of a number of fighter craft - the X-Wing, A-Wing, Y-Wing, Airspeeder and V-Wing Airspeeder.

Weapons include your blaster cannons and secondary weapons such as Proton torpedoes, bombs, missiles and cluster missiles.

And as you progress through the game special power-ups appear as floating icons which reveal themselves only after you have destroyed an enemy structure or vehicle.

Acquiring these power-ups gives you an added boost in the fight against the Empire.

You are part of an elite group of pilots, 12 in all, which takes on a series of missions including air-to-air dogfights, search and destroy tasks and convoy escourts.

Your skills must be at a premium and you diligence high.

After all ... you are none other than Luke Skywalker.

May the Force be with you.
