BABY GORDI'S FIRST ADVENTURE
Good clean fun with Gordi
By VICTORIA KAY
This
game is meant for 'two to five-year-olds'. Well, all you toddlers out
there, this could be a high level for you.
Well, the kids aren't going
to get through this in an hour, that's for sure. This game has 5 levels
of difficulty, 7 different games, and, to complete it, you need a certificate
from each.
The graphics are 3D, and quite
pleasing to the eye, considering the audience it's aimed at.
It is smoothly animated, but
it tends to take a while when loading. Now, to sound: Gordi tends to repeat
things several times, and very slowly, good for the littles, but a little
patronising at time. Annoying music to my ears.
I shudder at the next topic;
what activities are these?
I shall now divulge what has
me disgusted: you have to name body parts. At least there's no smut, but
it gets boring, naming your right shoulder three times.
The other activities are as
follows: You learn to sing nursery rhymes (like 'Mary had a little
lamb'), you learn about clothing (hey, this is good experience if
you plan to become a fashion designer), you find out about animals, and
there are just a few others, like "Learning with shapes and building
blocks!" , and, "Learning how to use sharp objects!". No,
actually, it's popping balloons -- it's supposed to help children learn
colours.
This game is good for children
in Kindergarten, preschool, and basically all children between 2 and 6
(or even some older males!).
